By the late 1920s more telephone boxes were needed, especially in country areas. They had to be better than the original K1 concrete kiosk and yet still cheap to produce. This phone box, the Kiosk No.3 became the standard design between 1928 - 1935, is part of
BT National Kiosk Collection at Avoncroft Museum, Bromsgrove, Worcestershire and one of the few remaining of the 12,000 manufactured. The body is made from reinforced concrete with a wooden door.
